Be the catalyst for meaningful transformation
Together with our partners, local organisations and residents, we’ve created Lambeth. It’s a bold, shared vision for Lambeth with real ambitions that will help us deliver sustainable change. Now we need an Assistant Director of Corporate Delivery to help us make exciting transformation happen. It’s a whole new role – and if you’re passionate about cultural change, you’ll thrive on the challenge.
Our ambitious culture change programme emphasises the importance of people’s roles in enhancing the lives of our residents. Each one is at the core of our workplace transformation, which focuses on getting the basics right and understanding the moments that matter to performing at your best. Against this background, you’ll lead the council’s drive to change, improve and develop its services and culture so that the ambitions, commitments and aspirations set out in the Lambeth plan can be realised.
You’ll start by bringing our transformation professionals together so they’re ready to make a difference. In effect, you will be the glue, creating a cohesive team that can work on short, medium and long-term programmes. Together, you’ll deliver the Council’s approach to transformation, while retaining a relentless focus on customers and their experience with Lambeth. The key is to draw from professional approaches to service design. That way, poor services improve rapidly and good services become even better.
To galvanise transformation across the council, you must be confident and capable in your role. You’ll bring experience in public sector change (consultancy or client side), leading positive outcomes for residents. Your expertise will include in-depth knowledge of project management and delivering service improvements. Underpinning this knowledge will be a professional qualification and strong analytical skills.
