Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant

Our client is seeking a Purchase Ledger Accounts Assistant to join their dynamic Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is energetic, well-organised, and thrives in a fast-moving environment. Day-to-day of the role:
* Work predominantly on the Purchase Ledger.
* Post and process both stock and non-stock invoices.
* Manage weekly and ad hoc payment runs.
* Conduct supplier statement reconciliations.
* Check and process carrier invoices against set rate cards.
* Monitor the payable mailbox for queries and invoices.
* Handle multi-currency bank postings and reconciliations.
* Reconcile Purchase Ledger – including supplier accounts and Aged Creditor reporting.
* Manage petty cash and company credit card postings and reconciliations.
* File customer invoices once paid.
* Assist with the annual audit.
* Perform ad hoc finance and administration tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working within a purchase ledger finance department.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
* Good time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to learn and develop within a supportive environment.
* Highly organised and capable of working on own initiative.
