Assistant Financial AccountantWe are working with a well established, family run business based in South Leeds. They are looking for an experienced Accounts professional to join their team. You will support and manage the day to day functions of the accounts department and work with the team to improve and streamline current processes.
* Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
* Support and oversight of accounts payable / receivable
* Maintain financial records, including ledgers, invoices and receipts, ensuring all documentation is up to date
* Oversee all invoice queries, escalate and resolve issues where necessary
* Month end processes including accruals, prepayments and reporting
* Taking a proactive role in the recovery of debts
* Bank reconciliations
* Preparation and submission of the VAT Return
What you'll need...
* Previous experience in a financial role is essential
* A related qualification or degree in finance or accounting would be preferred, but not essential
* Strong numerical skills are essential as is a high attention to detail
* Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. The company uses Evolution Software, experience of this system is advantageous
* Excellent communication and organisation skills
* Ability to work independently
Hours are flexible between 30 - 37.5 each week, Monday to Friday...
