What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead HSE initiatives within the project teams, driving the implementation of best practices and ensuring a positive, proactive safety culture throughout the team.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of HSE systems, processes, and progress, providing recommendations for improvements to enhance safety performance.
- Work closely with the client’s Project Manager and HSE Lead, providing clear reporting, feedback, and ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to across the team.
- Collaborate with a high-performing, safety-focused team to achieve HSE goals and deliver continuous safety improvements in a regulated, high-risk environment.
- Ensure full compliance with CDM Regulations, current HSE legislation, and the highest safety standards across all activities and operations.
- Promote a zero-harm culture by engaging with stakeholders and encouraging proactive safety behavior at all levels.
- Manage contractor health and safety performance, ensuring that contractors align with both company and legislative requirements.
What You’ll Need:
- A HNC or equivalent in a technical discipline, demonstrating your understanding of the relevant industry and regulations.
- A NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety, which will equip you with the necessary knowledge to excel in this role.
- Membership of IOSH (desirable), ensuring your commitment to maintaining high professional standards in health and safety management.
- A strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and current HSE legislation, along with experience in ensuring compliance in operational environments.
- Proven experience working in highly regulated operational environments, such as nuclear, oil and gas, or construction, with a focus on safety, risk management, and contractor management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with various stakeholders, from senior leadership to frontline workers, to ensure safety standards are maintained and continuously improved.
