The position of Class 2 Driver involves:
1. Collection and delivery of bio solids cake and deliver to field/store tipper locations across Devon and Cornwall.
2. Collection of liquid waste in vacuum tankers.
3. On occasion there could be the need for low loader work and transporting mobile plant.
4. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customers' expectations.
5. Due to the nature of the locations of our collections there will be a high degree of rural driving including delivery to farms including off road driving.
6. Working in agricultural industry.
7. Planning routes on a day to day basis.
8. Dealing with customers face to face and over the phone and providing a high level of customer service.
9. Liaison with farmers on a day to day basis to coordinate deliveries and stock movement.
10. Work closely with Land Management team.
Essential skills required for Class 2 Driver:
1. Must hold a UK Class 2 C Licence.
2. Hold a current DCPC Card and UK Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
3. Experience of working with Tipper/Hooklift or telehandler vehicles is advantageous but full training will be given.
4. Excellent organisation skills and use to working to deadlines.
5. Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
6. Confident, polite and a team player.
7. Strong geographical knowledge of the local area.
8. Due to the nature of the role applicants must be hardworking and self-motivated.
Salary for Class 2 Driver: between £35,791pa - £40,948pa, AND MORE! depending on hours worked.
Hours of work are on a rota basis to include weekends, start time circa 07:00hrs.
