The Centre
The Flashpoint Group is currently made up of multiple centres across Swindon, Bristol, Cardiff and Swansea with a speciality in indoor climbing. The site in Swindon consists of The Freedog Arena (a range of interactive activities), Clip’nClimb (a fun, kids focused climbing activity) and Flashpoint (a world class bouldering wall), and Soft Play Area.

Job Summary
We are looking to welcome new crew members to our Reception team here at Freedog/Flashpoint Swindon.
Our mission is to provide top class sessions, and climbing to the wider community using our Freedog Arena, Clip’n Climb and state of the art bouldering wall. As receptionists, we aim to create a friendly and welcoming environment. We do this from the very moment someone walks through the door, so that each customer feels excited to return with their friends and family.
As we are open every day of the week, we are looking for an individual who is able to work a minimum of 25 hours per month. This will mainly be working at weekends set out in a three-week rolling rota (working 2 weekends, both Saturday and Sunday in every 3), ideal for someone looking for some variety and work-life balance.
Although some experience is preferred, we would be willing to provide training to the right person, should they apply. We are passionate about supporting our team and their professional development.
You will report directly and have support from the Deputy Centre Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Being the first, friendly point of contact for customers
2. Have extensive knowledge of all Flashpoint and Freedog products to ensure customers are advised of the right product for their needs
3. Creating bookings and ensuring a smooth process during their check in
4. Answering phone calls, emails and responding to customer queries in a timely and informative manner
5. Ensure customers fill out the correct documentation prior to their activity
6. Responsible for keeping reception clean and tidy at all times
7. Assist with maintaining the high standard of cleanliness across the centre
8. Run occasional sessions during weekdays

Desired Skills and Knowledge
1. Previous experience working in the climbing industry
2. Previous experience working in customer facing roles
3. Experience using Rock Gym Pro booking system or similar booking system
4. An interest in climbing or a general interest in sports
