Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to work as part of our heavy construction equipment maintenance team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in the service repair and maintenance of heavy plant/construction equipment and be able to identify mechanical issues using technical knowledge and computerised systems.
Responsibilities:
* Service repair and maintenance of heavy plant/construction equipment
* Identify mechanical issues with the use of technical knowledge and computerised systems within a workshop environment
* Ensure software updates are installed
* Accurate completion of paperwork
* Ordering and returning parts
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land Based Engineering or HGV maintenance
* Extensive mechanical experience
* Comprehensive understanding of hydraulics and electronics
* Ability to work to a high standard of competence, independently
* Practical repair and maintenance experience on heavy construction plant
* Proven technical competence on diesel engines, transmissions, drive lines, hydraulics, and electronics
* Ideal experience in welding, fabrication and line boring
* Full UK Driving Licence
