Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and group support to students with a range of special educational needs
• Assist in the development and delivery of tailored learning plans
• Support students in building social and emotional skills
• Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive behaviour change
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure all students have the best possible learning experience
Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant – Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• A 2:1 or above in Psychology, Educational Studies, or a related field
• A genuine passion for supporting students with special educational needs
• Patience, resilience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with students
• Compassion, sensitivity, and an understanding approach towards students’ needs
• The ability to adapt and modify teaching strategies to meet individual student requirements
• Experience or interest in working with students with autism, ADHD, or other behavioural challenges would be a distinct advantage
