Job Description:
Contract: Permanent | Full time (40 hours per week)
Working days: Mon-Fri (and working one weekend every 4 weeks with time off on the Friday before and Monday after)
Working hours: 05:30 - 14:30 (subject to business needs)
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Class 2 Delivery Driver will complete tasks assigned to them within the given area. They will focus on meeting delivery/collection times to other businesses, contributing to the overall Hit Rate target and ensuring the highest possible service to the customer as they represent the company during their interactions with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Operations:
* Responsible for the efficient delivery of all assigned tasks in order to achieve on-time delivery using hampers and cages.
* Completing weekly van checks and reporting any failings to the most appropriate person without delay.
* Escalating issues to the Logistics Manager/Shift Manager as appropriate.
Quality and Customer Experience:
* Ensuring all items arrive to the customer in the same state that they left our site.
* Upholding the positive image of the brand at all times in a public-facing role.
* Supporting customer queries from/with Account Managers and the RevOps team.
* Communicating any changes to delivery times to the Account Managers team and the Logistics Manager or site manager, as appropriate.
* Handling customer information with sensitivity and discretion following our internal procedures.
* Reporting any low stock of consumable spare parts.
* Ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy, correct vehicle checks have been made and has all correct items such as sack barrow, straps/load lock bars etc.
Safety:
* Wearing the correct PPE and uniform.
* Reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to their line manager without delay.
* Driving and delivering in compliance with the highway code and Oxwash’s SOPs.
Leadership and Team Development:
* Aiding with the training of new hires and existing colleagues and seeking opportunities to upskill yourself.
* Providing internal stakeholders with concise and clear communication around any issues incurred.
Key Relationships
* Logistics Manager: Reporting to the Logistics Manager who is responsible for management of our logistics team at your location.
* Account Managers: Working alongside the Account Managers team and Operations Manager to manage customer complaints and escalations from a logistics perspective.
* Shift Managers: Liaising with the site’s Shift Managers to support them with any order-related queries and site standards.
Requirements
Technical Competency
* Specialist and Technical Knowledge:
* HGV Class 2 License, with no more than 3 points and at least 1.5 years of Class 2 experience.
* Valid driver qualification (CPC) card.
* Experience with multi-drops.
* Ability to lift hampers up to 20kg each and move cages safely.
Technology, Automation and Innovation
* Operational Technologies:
* Good knowledge of computer systems and willingness to learn internal systems used at Oxwash.
* Data Literacy:
* Understanding data to help identify the root cause of issues and solve them.
* Good understanding of numbers to count items on ingress and invoice items accurately.

* Collaboration - Building and cultivating effective professional working relationships with colleagues.
* Communication - Using excellent written and verbal communication skills when liaising with customers and colleagues.

A salary of £33,280 - £35,000 per year depending on experience.
