A multi-office Legal 200 and top tier Legal 500 firm is looking to bring an experienced Solicitor or qualified Legal Executive into their thriving Construction team. This firm focuses on national claimants and defendant clients, with a strong focus on contentious construction matters including, adjudications, and court disputes, with some non-contentious matters if desired.
With flexibility of offices and locations easily accessible via local rail stations or by car, this firm offers an excellent work/life balance. This opportunity would be a great fit for an experienced Legal Professional looking for their next role in a quality over quantity focused environment with excellent progression up to Partner.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of litigation matters with a good degree of autonomy, acting as lead Associate and managing junior team members.
* Assist a diverse client base of developers, construction companies, and corporate owner in defendant and claimant construction matters including adjudications and court litigated matters.
* Assist senior Partners and members of staff with significant cases and the everyday running of the team.
* Clearly communicate with colleagues and clients including client partners.
* Development of the team and greater firm, with some responsibility over business development and marketing incentives.
Skills and Experience:
* UK qualified Solicitor, ideally with 6-10y PQE experience (although other levels of PQE will be considered). Junior associates will not be considered.
* Expertise with contentious construction matters, with experience managing cases with minimal supervision in a reputable UK firm.
* Proven experience on meeting deadline and targets.
* Strong academic background.
* Good interpersonal skills with an enthusiasm for personal and team development.
