Clinical Lead

We are currently recruiting for a passionate Clinical Lead / Senior Occupational Health Advisor to join our team on a full time basis at our client’s site in Barrow-in-Furness (with the option for one and a half day working remotely).
The successful individual will provide clinical leadership and direction to the Clinical Team, supporting provision of high quality, efficient, evidence-based health and wellbeing services to employees, the client, and projects engaging with external organisations for our client.
37.5 hours per week | 5 days (Monday to Friday) | Competitive salary | Hybrid working arrangement available (1.5 days WFH)
What you'll be doing:
•Support development of the clinical pathways implemented according to best practice and client objectives.
•Work with our client’s directors/managers to implement company objectives, e.g. review of clinical competencies, materials and any other relevant material the client feel is required for the role.
•Provide leadership and support to the clinical team to meet the strategic aims of the clinical and OH service.
•Create and maintain a positive and supportive team culture with the staff you manage by working to and supporting the company values.
•Develop/support initiatives to meet client needs, targeted wellbeing and company objectives.
•Support recruitment, selection and induction of the multidisciplinary team members.
•Support and co-ordinate resources to meet shift requirements, and monitor skill mix.
•Undertake, review and record regular clinical competency reviews with individuals and audit clinical work as per the client policy; carry out annual reviews and end of probation meetings.
•Work with the management team to support management of the day-to-day clinical service and manage any conflict.
•Use Management Information to raise the profile of our services, support effective health surveillance, support customer relationships, and continually improve the quality of the clinical service provided to our customers.
•Ensure calibration, servicing, repair and replacement of equipment for your team.
•Ensure compliance with Company processes/Department of Health, H&S guidelines/legislation and company accreditations i.e. SEQOHS etc.
•Prioritise clinical and occupational health needs according to risk.
•Advise, monitor, audit and assess clinical practice of the OH team and act as a clinical mentor to OH staff.
•Initiate and participate in programmes of audit for peers to ensure compliance with evidence based standards.
•Ensure that all staff are suitably qualified, inducted and trained to provide a quality service and ensuring this information is captured and shared with the HR Team and Clinical Operations Team.
•Be aware and maintain professional standards of conduct, taking action if others do not meet the company standards.
•Take responsibility for own professional development by maintaining existing skills and developing new ones relevant to specific area of professional practice.
What we are looking for:
•Registration with NMC Part 1.
•Strong clinical background in A&E/Emergency care.
•Postgraduate experience in in Occupational Health setting.
•Innovative and adaptable, with proven leadership and management skills.
•IT literate.
•Proven clinical/managerial experience with the ability to motivate a team to achieve the contractual requirements.
•Evidence of up to date knowledge base of professional and specialist issues.
•Ability to work effectively independently and within a team framework with the ability to support a flexible team.
•Good interpersonal and communication skills, written and oral.
•Forward thinking and planning effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. Able to prioritise own workload and manage own time, self-motivated and capable of working flexibly and to strict deadlines.
•Motivated to deliver excellent customer service, good communication skills and empathy when dealing with employees and other professionals.
•Must hold a valid driving licence and use of own car is essential.
