Job Title: Material Planner Job Status: full-time, permanent Work location: Suffolk, VA; onsite Your Role You manage the raw material requirement for Lipton’s Suffolk, VA factory. You work with vendors, procurement, supply planning, factory planning, research & innovation, and production teams to ensure sufficient ingredients availability for our Suffolk Production site for upcoming production needs. You will create and hold the business to an efficient material ordering and inventory strategy. You provide insights to the procurement team and business on fluctuations in requirements to help them adjust their ordering strategy. You will ensure urgent inbound material deliveries to meet production requirements. You monitor and propose run out of slow-moving tea inventory. You will ensure running continuity by partnering with research and innovation to update bill of materials for obsolete/transition materials. Responsible for generating the Bills of Materials and communicating changes to Quality and Production teams. Your Key Responsibilities: Raw material planning and order management Manage raw material inventory strategy Investigate and help business respond to demand fluctuations Ensure raw material availability for upcoming production requirements Make strategic decision around minimum order quantities, safety stock in order to ensure balance between inventory cost, customer service, and warehouse space constraints Update bills of materials as required Support inventory counting reconciliation as needed Skills and Experience: 3 years of relevant experience (material planning, production operations, etc) Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred Experience driving process improvements in a manufacturing or supply chain role Agile, adaptable and able to manage multiple projects/tasks Experience with SAP 4 Hanna or other similar production ERP system preferred Experience with EWM extended warehouse management system preferred A Great Place to Grow Here at LIPTON Teas and Infusions, we grow a world of wellbeing to generate value for all.
