We're looking for a Bank Radiology Department Assistant (RDA) to join our Radiology team at The Harborne Hospital.
As a Radiology Departmental Assistant, you will work within the Radiology department dealing with clinical and administrative jobs for the department. This will include but not limited to chaperoning Ultrasound scans, booking appointments, printing reports and assisting with background admin tasks.
This is a Bank role working 37.5hrs per week (Monday - Friday shifts between 0800 and 1900 with some flexibility expected).
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Meet and greet all visitors to the Imaging department to include patients and Consultant Users.
* Chaperone Ultrasound scans.
* Assist radiographers in MRI and CT and general x-ray, Fluoroscopy and Mammography.
* Answer all emails and telephone enquiries, referring where appropriate.
* Register Patients using the Hospital Information system (Meditech and SharePoint).
* General Administration of the Radiology department.
* Arrange bookings as required.
* Sending out reports to referring consultants.
* Sending images via IEP and CIMAR.
* Maintain Ultrasound stock control in the Radiology Office.
* Ensuring patient comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times and are specific to the patients' needs.
* Assisting the Radiographers and Patient Access with administrative tasks.
What you'll bring:
* Previous Hospital Healthcare experience desirable.
* Radiology Department experience is desirable.
* Ability to work independently and within a team.
* Exceptional communication and organisation skills.
* Ability to be flexible with working patterns.
* Competent IT user to include Word and Excel.
