Up to £26,000 We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Casualty Claims Handler to join our dynamic Commercial Claims team here at AXA. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive product knowledge and advanced negotiation skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. As a Casualty Claims Handler, you’ll be responsible for making accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service. Your role will involve investigating complex claims, negotiating with third parties, and providing clear and concise policy interpretations. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home at our Bolton office, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. What you’ll be doing: Dealing mainly through Brokers, you'll be proactively managing a portfolio of claims up to £100K. Carrying out comprehensive investigations into policy and legal liability for all newly allocated EL, PL and Disease claims in order to successfully negotiate a cost effective and speedy resolution. Providing excellent customer service, whilst having a logical and measured approach to all tasks. Dealing confidently and tactfully with people over the phone. What you'll bring: Proven negotiation skills and use of tactics in managing EL, PL and Disease claims advantageous. Relevant transferable skills with experience from the financial sector or overarching insurance preferred. Experience of having a strong proactive approach to manage own caseload and commitment to customer service. Able to make accurate and pragmatic policy and legal liability decisions. Detailed end to end knowledge of the claims process. Strong quantum assessment skills and working knowledge of litigation procedures. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
