A brand-new position has arisen for a Service Desk Engineer to join a leading managed service provider in Cambridge, where you will be providing Microsoft-based support across their wide range of clients. As the Service Desk Engineer, you will be expected to travel to client sites 4 days a week and be based one day a week on-site in Cambridge. You should have experience in infrastructure (On-prem/cloud) as well as Office 365, Microsoft Azure, and Hyper-V. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Field Service Engineer to further develop their career.
The Service Desk Engineer will provide direct support to customers and colleagues while also having the opportunity to showcase their technical and stakeholder management skills. You will support business growth, working closely alongside client teams to action and fix any tickets, providing 2nd/3rd line support and putting your Windows and Microsoft Azure knowledge into action. Skills required for Service Desk Engineer are:
1. Experience of 2nd/3rd Line Support
2. Microsoft Azure experience
3. Brilliant communication skills, both written and verbal
4. Experience of working with Office 365 and Hyper-V
5. Exposure to working in a busy user support environment
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per year + excellent benefits
