As the GRAHAM business continues to grow and develop, we are looking for an enthusiastic Buyer to work within the Procurement Team.
This role is key in providing day-to-day support to Civils sites for material procurement.
The post holder will be required to work flexibly within a rapidly developing office environment.
Job Description
The Buyer will:
* Serve as an integral member of the Procurement Department.
* Organize and file emails, tender inquiries, and quotations within the GKS online document server.
* Prepare and distribute tender inquiries via email or post.
* Manage daily material procurement for sites, including ordering consumables, signs, office equipment, and materials for major packages.
* Procure materials and external plant hire in accordance with established Framework Agreements.
* Assist in tendering, comparing, and implementing new Framework Agreements for the business.
* Collaborate with site personnel to meet their requirements.
* Gather new company details, including financial and insurance documentation, complete internal forms, and distribute to relevant departments.
* Ensure data management systems are consistently updated.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date central electronic filing records of all relevant documentation.
* Perform additional duties as necessary within the scope and purpose of the role.
* Provide support to other office-based staff as needed.
This job description is intended to give the post holder an appreciation of the role envisaged for the Buyer and the range of duties to be undertaken. Specific tasks and objectives will be agreed with the post holder at regular intervals.
Person Specification
Essential
* Strong IT skills
* Proven administrative accuracy in a busy, pressurised environment.
* Experience within a similar role within a Construction company.
