About the Department
An opportunity has arisen to join our expanding, friendly, diverse and inclusive pharmacy team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
The Pharmacy Departments within ULHT provide ward based, Dispensary, and Aseptic Dispensing Services to a range of general and specialist areas including Admissions Unit, General Medical and Surgical, Haematology and Oncology and Critical Care wards. We have a good integrated team of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Support Workers.
The post will be based at Pilgrim Hospital Boston but the successful applicant/s may need to travel to other sites within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
Our progressive department is in the process of a period of rapid transformational change to ensure that it is a service fit for the future.
We are dedicated to ensuring that medicines optimisation is embedded across all aspects of care within the Trust to deliver safe, efficient and cost-effective use of medicines.
We take pride in developing our pharmacists through formal and informal study, clinical supervision and training. We will support you to provide high quality services to patients and healthcare professionals alike.
We support progression from band 6 to band 7 upon completion of a post-graduate clinical diploma or equivalent experience. You will also work with lead Pharmacists to review and develop policies and contribute to monthly directorate medicines optimisation reports.
Applicants must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
The role will involve travel across all sites in the United Lincolnshire Hospital Trust therefore the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Master / Bachelor of Pharmacy
* 1 year Pre-registration training
* Member GPhC
* Certificate / Diploma / Masters Degree in Clinical Pharmacy
Previous Experience
* Clinical Pharmacy in a hospital environment
Specific Requirements
* Ability to travel between hospital sites and for on call
* Adaptable to changing circumstances and situations
* Evidence of CPD
* Good interpersonal skills
* Time management and prioritisation skills
* Good written and oral communication skills
