OVERVIEW
As Head of Flexible Learning, you will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership to the Flexible Learning Team and driving the strategy for growth within the division ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all learners. You will lead on the sales and marketing strategy to deliver to contracts providing high quality training opportunities to hard to reach learners.
You will support senior leaders with strategic growth plans for our provision utilising all available funding streams including Adult Skills Fund, Free Courses For Jobs (FCFJ) and advanced learner loans. With curriculum experience, you will develop Employability provision in relation to the needs of local employers and communities demonstrating intent, implementation, and impact.

Role Information
Customer Care and Tutor Support
* Review, revise and continuously improve the learner journey for our customers.
* Ensure that high service levels are achieved within the customer care team to support learners to submit their work timely.
* Drive improvements with destination tracking and monitoring and ensure timely and accurate recording.
* Ensure that employed tutors maintain maximum caseload and comply with company timeframes for completion meeting KPIs set within the budget; and ensure that tutor capacity is maintained in line with profiling of starts and ensure that all tutors adhere to KPIs set.
* Work with the Quality Team to identify any performance issues with tutors to ensure compliance with awarding body and company standards.
* Plan, manage and participate in tutor standardisation meetings with the support of the Quality Manager.
* Ensure tracking and monitoring of learner work and tutor feedback with evidence to support attendance monitoring.
* Drive teams to close down past planned end date learners for timely achievement.
General
* Prioritise team activities and workload, ensuring maximum utilisation of time and benefit in order that key objectives and targets are achieved.
* Drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently.
* Develop, monitor and manage KPIs relating to all aspects of the learner journey from post induction to completion.
* Manage day to day activities of ad-hoc projects.
* Track and measure performance and meet regularly to discuss progress against objectives.
* Generate reports as requested.
* Ensure accuracy of all tasks in the Flexible Learning process relevant to the support of Learners and Tutors, ensuring a clear audit trail is evident following policies and procedures.
* Actively promote progression opportunities at every intervention.
* Be proactive in identifying workable solutions to resolve issues identified.

Experience
* Experience of Ofsted Inspections.
* Proven experience in an operational management role.
* Experience of writing own SAR and QIP.
* Sub-contracting experience.
Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of all funding streams, particularly, ASF, Advanced Learner Loans and Free Courses for Jobs.
* Can multitask and delegate across the entire operation.
