The Role
The school is looking for a highly skilled HLTA with experience working with highly complex A.S.D./SEMH pupils. You will support them in developing their day-to-day and academic skills as well as their social emotional needs, in preparation for their transition to secondary education. You will have a timetable to provide interventions and cover classes across the school. As part of your role, the school would ideally like you to cover lessons to complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities both in and out of school, under an agreed system of supervision that supports the teacher with learning outcomes.
The School
This secondary SEND school is based in Bexley and caters for students aged 11-19 with a range of learning disabilities from moderate to severe. Children access an engaging and broad range of learning and development opportunities with excellent facilities including sensory and therapy spaces. There are excellent training and professional development opportunities within the trust and long-term career progression options.
