Computershare has an exciting opportunity for a permanent Head of Capacity Management to join our Computershare Technology Services team, as part of our Global Chief Technology Officer (CTO) group.

A role you will love
As the Head of Capacity Management, you’ll be accountable for overseeing and optimizing the capacity planning/management for both infrastructure and applications within the technology department. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the company's IT resources are effectively aligned with business demands, delivering scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions.
The role holder will be responsible for leading a small scale team who analyse capacity usage data, generate reports and provide insight on future forecasting across the infrastructure and application estate, working closely with other technical operational and engineering functions within the technology department.
Other key responsibilities include:
* Analysing and forecasting future capacity needs based on business growth, usage trends, and technological advancements.
* Overseeing capacity planning for servers, storage, networking, database, licences and other infrastructure components.
* Analysing capacity usage data, generating reports, and presenting findings to senior management.
* Using data-driven insights to recommend and implement changes to improve capacity utilization and efficiency.
* Identifying potential capacity-related risks and developing mitigation strategies to prevent performance issues or service disruptions.
What will you bring to the role?
The role requires an excellent understanding of work routines and procedures used to support successful adherence to ITIL aligned service policies. The role will be managing, defining, leading and implementing technical and operational capacity management procedures, which require advanced knowledge and awareness on how to apply them.
We are looking for you to hold prior experience of leading technical capacity management functions in a financial services organisation; experience leading Global teams would also be advantageous.
Other skills & experience include:
* Management of Opex cost centres - both FTEs and supplier Opex cost.
* Business planning experience and the ability to forecast cost for budget cycles.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to keep reports updated on strategic initiatives by means of written updates, stand up Town Halls and presentations.
* Knowledge of service governance processes and the ability to understand risk to services.
* ITIL knowledge and experience of working within ITIL aligned organisations.
