Job Title: Accountant - Service Charge - Residential Property Management Location: Shrewsbury ABOUT US: Lambert Smith Hampton is a leading and progressive commercial real estate consultancy with a network of offices across the UK and Ireland. A core service LSH provides is in the area of valuations; with our team of experts helping our clients to gain a clear understanding of the true value of their assets value. We advise numerous lenders including high street banks, private banks, insurance companies and challenger banks. Our extensive network has motion that we are now a market leader in valuation services for loan security. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Production of residential service charge accounts
2. Reconciliation of independently prepared accounts
3. Client liaison on all accounting matters
4. Internal liaison with Property Managers
5. Assisting with complex queries from Property Managers
6. Production of year end certificates and explanations with final accounts
7. Working to deadlines
8. Supporting the Property Managers and Branch Managers in the local branch
9. Assisting RMC Directors in the understanding of the service charge accounts
10. Attending AGMs and other meetings with clients as required
11. Ensuring RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code is adhered to
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
12. Understanding of leasehold property accounting
13. Excellent communication skills
14. Good literacy and numeracy skills
15. Knowledge of double entry booking keeping
16. Knowledge of lease interpretation, apportionment, schedules, balancing and reserve fund compliance
17. Knowledge of Section 20B legislation Desirable
