Electrical Engineer
£43,000 to £46,000 plus excellent benefits
Purpose of the Electrical Engineer:
Experienced electrical engineer with good understanding of electrical control systems, capable of working from customer requirements to create electrical schematics and produce products. Document and assist with the design of electrical systems including control cabinets, PLCs and PCB interfaces. Support mechanical and electrical design engineers with development and prototype builds, including selecting components suitable for the application and space envelope. Liaise with the production team to see designs through the factory to completion.
Key Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer:
* Electrical design work for repackaging existing designs and support of new products.
* Document and implement ECRs following documentation control procedures.
* Support the design team with prototype build of panels, cable harnesses and other hardware.
* Produce documentation to help build and fault find electrical systems.
* Support production team with build of electrical systems.
* Ensure designs are safe and compliant with regulations.
* Deliver electrical design scope of work across specific projects, as part of a single or multi discipline design team
* Carry out all stages of electrical design from concept to completion as required by the project
Skills/Education/Experience for the Electrical Engineer:
* HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
* Experience in a manufacturing background with an electrical/electronic background.
* Capable of creating and working from electrical / electronic schematics to produce products.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a design, manufacturing, or service environment.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
Hours of work for the Electrical Engineer:
Monday to Friday days 35 hours per week
