Contract Supervisor
Location: Commercial Building - Cambridgeshire
Salary: £53,000 + OT
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm
Fantastic opportunity to work for a specialist FM Service Provider situated in Cambridgeshire. PRS are currently recruiting for a Contract Supervisor to be based on a commercial contract in Cambridge (Static role). The successful candidate will be Electrically biased with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. You will be responsible for a small team of engineers and will ensure the day to day running of the contract (Hard services/PPM/reactive maintenance) under the direction of the Contract Manager.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. To supervise contracted and reactive M&E and fabric maintenance services and additional services when required, in accordance with statutory, legislative and contractual obligations.
2. Ensure that all maintenance records and supporting documentation are completed to the required standards.
3. Day to day liaison with customers and their representatives on matters relating to service delivery and additional works.
4. Identify additional work opportunities and provide input into scope, resourcing, costing, and completion timescales.
5. Support the contract manager in the preparation of additional works quotations.
6. Ensure that subcontractors are appropriately supervised to comply with contractual requirements, specification, and site operating protocols.
7. Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and end users at all times, exhibiting a high level of customer service delivery.
8. Carry out such other duties as may be required and as may be assigned by senior management from time to time.
9. Supervise PPM (statutory and routine), reactive, and additional works to ensure delivery on time in accordance with contracted service levels, on an allocated portfolio of maintenance contracts.
10. Supervise, support, and develop a technically competent engineering team, ensuring all duties are carried out in a safe manner.
11. Manage the day to day operation and administration of safe systems of work processes.
12. Develop client relationships to maximise the opportunity for additional revenue and contract retention.
13. Respond to client needs for technical support to maximise their assets' life expectancy and reliability.
14. Carry out site audits as dictated by the HSQE processes.
15. Ensure that additional work opportunities are identified and scoped correctly, to include the necessary direct and indirect resources, materials, plant, supervision, and management.
16. Ensure that critical spares are available to carry out maintenance of the installed plant and systems.
17. Ensure all sub-contractor and material purchases are executed using company-wide procurement procedures, with costing information recorded correctly against contracted and additional works as required.
18. Support the Contract Manager with month-end financial procedures to ensure that WIP, accruals, and purchase commitments are updated on a monthly basis.
19. Attend meetings with the Customer and other Stakeholders as required.
20. Provide supporting cover for other team members.
Minimum Requirements
1. Fully qualified to recognised electrical standards (Apprenticeship, C&G, Level 2&3 etc).
2. City & Guilds 18th Edition.
3. HVAP - Current or Expired.
4. Knowledge of working with a budget and managing costs.
5. Willing to carry out hands-on work as and when required.
6. Experience of working in a building services environment.
7. Good communication (both written and verbal) skills.
8. A good understanding of compliance.
9. Competent in the use of IT including all MS Office packages and CAFM Systems.
