We are seeking an experienced Event Planner to fulfil a maternity contract (12 - 16 month contract) who thrives in a fast-paced setting and is energised by the challenge of managing all types of events, including conferences, dinners, exhibitions and festivals.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the entire event process, from the initial planning stages to flawless execution. You'll keep an eye on the details, collaborate with clients, partners, and colleagues, all whilst bringing a creative but precise edge to every event.
To excel in this role, you'll need excellent organisational and communication skills, a talent for managing client relationships, and the ability to handle multiple projects with charisma while working flexible hours.

Primary Function:
As a valuable member of our event planning team, you will collaborate closely with clients, providing them with guidance, support and advice regarding their events, conferences, exhibitions, and dinners, bringing their vision to life. You will be responsible for recreating and communicating this vision to the wider operational team, working closely with them to ensure seamless delivery. Additionally, you will coordinate Box Office requirements and support the Head of Events and Client Relations with administrative tasks. You will be instrumental in building strong relationships and working alongside our clients and other team members to provide a professional and seamless service.
Responsibilities:
* Provide customer service in line with EICC standards;
* Organise events that meet and exceed client expectations;
* Establish and maintain client relationships through regular contact, whilst ensuring there is a comprehensive understanding of client requirements;
* Take responsibility for the event and ensure that client requirements are communicated to the wider operational team;
* Deal with all aspects of the coordination, planning and successful running of events at the EICC;
* Proactively resolve issues and troubleshoot any problems on the day of the event;
* Compile detailed pre and post-event schedules and documentation;
* Implement events business plan, systems and procedures;
* Co-ordinate, analyse and evaluate all activities/resources and budgets supplied by clients for their events;
* Manage the Box Office for any events with Box Office requirements, including the setting up of relevant events to go on sale;
* Promote and enhance the EICC’s world-renowned reputation as an exceptional venue for conferences and events;
* Assist with general administrative support for the event and for the client.

* Confident in decision making and consulting with a diplomatic approach as well as being able to think on your feet and problem solve;
* Ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing demands.
Key Selection Criteria:
* Experience within a similar role in conference and event services;
* Educated to degree level (preferable);
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
* Confident, proactive and able to complete tasks and projects within deadlines;
* High level of interpersonal skills;
* Approachable;
* Excellent time management skills with a history of meeting business and client deadlines;
* Ability to multi-task;
* Team player;
* Flexible with their time;
* Experience in Box Office management would be advantageous;
* Excellent organisational and administrative skills;
* Excellent knowledge of Office 365.
