Job Title: Site Engineer
Do you want to play a pivotal role in the delivery of one of Scotland's key infrastructure projects?
Orion Group are working with a client with a proven track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK, to hire a Site Engineer on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced engineer to support the overall implementation of the engineering strategy and framework for the design and construction of a major project in the North of Scotland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the senior project team in implementing the engineering strategy and framework;
* Manage materials, plant and labour within allocated budget and resources;
* Communicate systems, design information, procedures and quality systems effectively;
* Verify work of others and provide technical support;
* Lead assurance on projects through conducting audits and regular meetings;
* Maintain relationships with customers, technical consultants and suppliers;
* Develop personal expertise and knowledge to ensure company is at forefront of industry;
* Ensure efficient operation of procurement, material control policies and procedures;
* Implement quality assurance and technical integrity measures;
* Contribute to progress and productivity reports;
* Provide feedback on project performance.
Requirements:
* Previous engineering experience and subject matter expert in relevant discipline;
* Up-to-date relevant knowledge of engineering and industry best practice;
* Degree in Civil Engineering and relevant professional qualification (MICE or MIStructE) desirable;
* Valid CSCS card required;
* Focused and thorough with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
* Previous management experience in construction or support services industries;
* A desire to continuously pursue innovation and development.
