Quality Engineer
Location: Central Sheffield, 2 days per week home working available
Reports To: Quality Manager, Europe
Hours: 37.5 Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £40,000
Contract: Fixed term, until January 2026

The Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting the quality manager, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and consistency, ensuring the business meets the required international/industry/customer standards along with various accreditations and customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
1. Support the retention of key approvals: ISO9001, AS9100, AS9120 etc.
2. Focal point for all Quality standards (regulatory, customer specific, internal etc).
3. Support audit teams to ensure business compliance.
4. Release authority for products as needed in Europe.
5. Ensure supply chain compliance processes are in place and being maintained.
6. Key decision maker in MRB process for any rejects in Europe.
7. Ensure that customer complaints are reviewed, followed up and answered in a timely manner and that the appropriate root cause corrective actions are put in place.
8. Key sign off point for NPI in confirming that standards are met (via FAI) and that processes are considered repeatable and production ready.
9. Validates that training and competency plans for operational teams ensure that necessary standards are met.
Role Qualifications:
1. Associate's degree in quality, business/marketing, or engineering.
2. Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, AS9120.
3. Experience with liaising with certification bodies in context of surveillance/re-cert audits.
4. Ideally degree qualified in a technical engineering field.
5. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
6. Membership/accreditation from a professional body highly desirable.
7. Aerospace/similar industry would be an advantage.
