Our operations team is looking for a full-time Clinical Receptionist to work in our GP at Hand clinics in London (Canary Wharf, Euston, Fulham, Victoria and Wimbledon). You will provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to patients, clinicians, healthcare professionals and visitors.
You will act as the first point of contact for patients contacting the practice and to portray the practice in the highest possible professional basis. To ensure that enquiries from patients and clinicians are efficiently and courteously handled. In addition to this, you will be responsible for daily tasks that are essential to the daily operation of the clinics.
You are required to work on a rotating shift pattern within the hours of Monday to Saturday 7:30am to 8:30pm, 40 hours per week.
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON:
1. Act as a primary point of contact between GP at Hand and the clinic location.
2. Effectively manage the reception area to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the clinic for patients, staff and visitors.
3. Handle inbound/outbound telephone calls.
4. Following up requests for appointments, information from hospitals, booking interpreters, etc.
5. Assist with booking/rescheduling physical appointments for patients.
6. Manage the arrival/deduction of medical records.
7. Administrative responsibilities include handling documents via inbound/outbound post as well as inbound/outbound email, document processing on our medical records database, audits, stock checks, ensuring that patient samples are labelled correctly for courier collection, etc.
8. Assist potential patients with queries about the requirements for registering as an NHS patient with GP at Hand.
9. Be a key contact for GP at Hand clinicians and rota team, manage the communication channels between the clinicians and the wider department.
10. Be flexible as you may be required to provide cover at one of our London clinics with short notice depending on business requirements.
11. To observe safe working practices, with respect to health and safety procedures, confidentiality and computer security.
12. Contribute to delivering a safe and effective service in line with up to date requirements for Care Quality Commission (CQC).
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
1. Someone with receptionist experience.
2. Experience working in an environment with direct contact with the public.
3. Worked in a GP practice or healthcare organisation (not essential).
4. A self starter, driven and likes to take ownership of their work.
5. Able to communicate internally and externally providing a high level of service.
6. Good verbal and written skills to respond to enquiries.
7. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail.
8. Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
