The post holder will be an important member of the lymphoedema team. They will co-ordinate, organise & prepare the smooth day-to-day running of the lymphoedema clinic. The lymphoedema service sees patients from Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot. They will work as part of a team and alone working with guidance and direction from administration manager and clinical lead. They will provide efficient and effective secretarial support for clinical services, hence supporting the delivery of a high quality service to patients and staff. The Senior Lymphoedema Assistant has a greater degree of autonomy than the Healthcare Assistant and undertakes a broader range of health and care in accordance with policy and procedures. The post holder will work on their own initiative, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision in place from a registered practitioner/assistant practitioner. The post holder contributes to assessment and assists in the development, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans. They will supervise other staff and promote the delivery of high quality care. The Senior Lymphoedema Assistant will be working as part of the Swansea Bay University Health Board and is based in Singleton Hospital. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
