Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to offer our Level 3 Dental Nurse Apprenticeship. This role will be based at our Charles Clifford Dental Hospital which provides specialist dental services for people in Sheffield and the surrounding districts.

This is an 18 month fixed term contract which will start in January 2025 on the national apprenticeship wage which will commence at £12,514 after 12 months in post this will increase to the National Minimum Wage (depending upon your age).
Main duties of the job
You will be providing support within Charles Clifford Dental Hospital and will carry out the normal dental nurse role and duties supervised by qualified dental nurses and tutors. Duties within this role include providing close chairside assistance, testing equipment and machinery, receiving and preparing patients and undertaking safely and effectively decontamination, disinfection and sterilisation of instruments and equipment ready for use.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong organisational skills and have a desire to deliver excellent patient care within their role.

This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 18 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts.
The apprentice allowance as specified in the Minimum Wage Regulations will be paid for the first 12 months. The rate will increase after 12 months in line with these regulations for anyone that is age 19 or over.
A learner/applicant must be a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.
