Our client is looking to recruit a Commercial Insurance Broker to work from their offices in Rawtenstall. Initially the role would be office based but there may be the opportunity for hybrid working upon successful completion of probationary period.
You will report directly to the Account Executives offering support to them on a daily basis to support the management of new business and renewal cases across various commercial insurance classes.
This role involves preparing and marketing presentations to insurers, securing competitive terms, and assisting in the client onboarding and renewal process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, with strong communication skills and a solid understanding of the insurance market.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Preparation & Marketing:
Compile comprehensive new business and renewal presentations for cross-class commercial insurance cases.
Market presentations to the insurer panel on behalf of Account Executives, ensuring all relevant details are accurately represented.
Insurer Liaison & Negotiation:
Engage directly with insurers, handling queries and negotiating terms to ensure optimal conditions are achieved for clients.
Regularly communicate updates and secured terms to the Account Executive.
Quotation & Client Pack Preparation:
Assemble and refine quotation packs to be issued by the Account Executive, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
Policy Binding & Documentation Issuance:
Facilitate the binding of cover upon securing agreement, issuing finalised documentation directly to clients.
Case Management & Financial Arrangement:
Complete case wrap-up, including data entry into the Case Management system.
Coordinate any necessary financing arrangements and oversee completion of post-binding administrative tasks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Proven experience in commercial insurance broking, with knowledge across multiple business insurance lines.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with a keen ability to build relationships with insurers.
High attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Proficiency in insurance case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
