The Role
Lead the following sub-categories of spend within our Cargo operating company: MRO, Consumables, Infrastructure and Facilities.
Work alongside the operating company ensuring an effective delivery of the agreed procurement plan and maximising the Group’s buying power.
Lead all procurement activities for the allocated sub-categories, including planning, sourcing, negotiation, risk management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement local and global procurement strategies for the allocated sub-categories.
* Lead the execution of all procurement related activities for the allocated sub-categories following Group processes.
* Manage stakeholder relationships both at group and operating company level, ensuring alignment with both Group and operating company’s business plan and objectives.
* Manage supplier risk to protect both the Group and operating company from financial, operational and reputational damage.
* Provide commercial support and expertise to internal stakeholders in the interaction with the supply base.
* Work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to resolve commercial and contractual disputes.
* Ensure supplier performance management is robust, effective and compliant.
* Work alongside business areas to identify, challenge, harmonise and simplify specifications and processes across the operating companies to maximise Group buying power.
* Ensure that all procurement activity is carried out in line with Group and operating company governance principles.
* Develop effective working relations with key interfaces across the Group and operating companies including line, finance, legal and other stakeholders.
* Support the team as required including activities such as reporting, communications management, data analysis and documentation management.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Degree and/or strong knowledge of working in an international procurement environment.
* Strong demonstrable commercial expertise including contract negotiation and dispute resolutions.
* Strong aptitude and knowledge across full commodity lifecycle and awareness of market trends and suppliers.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to manage and influence senior level stakeholders.
* Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to evaluate, analyse and solve problems.
* Ability to influence, align diverse views and gain consensus, providing clarity and direction on what is to be achieved.
* Ability to prioritise, maintain clear focus and provide direction in constant ambiguity and change.
* Ability to operate effectively in an environment with tight deadlines, finite resources and uncertainty.

Experience:
* Senior level experience of partnering with Senior Leaders and Executives in a fast moving and agile business environment.
* Experience in Procurement gathered in a complex global organisation.
* Experience of working in an environment of change involving people, process, policy and technology.
* Experience of working within high performing teams across multiple countries and cultures.
* Experience in procurement Logistics or Industrial (or similar) with exposure to MRO, Consumables, Infrastructure and Facilities commodities.
