We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preston. This role will involve supporting a child with special educational needs (SEN) in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as they begin their exciting journey of starting school in September 2025.
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for a child with specific learning needs, ensuring they have the best possible start to their educational experience. You will be helping them settle into the school environment, assisting with their learning, and promoting their independence and social development. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s life, supporting them as they navigate the early stages of their education.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to a child in the EYFS setting with SEN.
* Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised learning plans and strategies.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for the child to thrive in.
* Support the child with communication, personal care, and social integration as required.
* Encourage the development of independence and confidence within the classroom and during activities.
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teacher regarding the child’s development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
