The role of the team is to be the first point of contact for all residents and visitors and to provide a welcoming environment for all. We are now seeking a Receptionist and Administrative Officer to provide full reception services and administrative support to both extra care and residential care at New Lodge, to ensure a smooth-running reception area. You’ll be on hand to assist with residents, visitors, contractors and staff coming to New Lodge, ensuring a pleasant and efficient service is provided, and dealing with and re-directing telephone calls and queries. You’ll process incoming and outgoing mail and receipt of deliveries, ensure that the reception area is tidy and welcoming at all times and there is adequate supplies of up-to-date literature, ensure the digital information displayed on a TV at reception is always up to date and manage the bookings for guest rooms or any other general events bookings. You’ll provide a confidential typing and administrative support service to the New Lodge management team i.e. typing of notices, labels, general correspondence, reports, notes of meetings, mail-shots, filing etc. and record residents’ repairs and report items as appropriate to the Property Services Department or the handy person for action. About You We’d like you to have previous experience of office and administrative processes and practices with working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet with demonstrable numeracy and literacy skills. With previous experience working in a care environment, you’ll have knowledge of older persons services, able to communicate information concisely and professionally. You’ll be able to work well under pressure, multitask and cope with interruptions, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and experience of working as part of a team.
