We are seeking a talented and driven HR Advisor to join our growing team at Giggling Squid. You will provide hands-on support across a wide range of HR activities, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, training, and compliance.
What you will do
The role is critical to the function of the people team, covering all aspects of HR administration, recruitment, onboarding process, and providing relevant information for all HR queries. Additionally, you will work closely with operations, recruitment, and other departments when necessary to support various policies, initiatives and projects. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
* Oversee the employee onboarding through ATS, RTW checks in line with Home Office requirements, preparation of starter packs and ensuring all employee data is entered on the HRIS accurately.
* Manage the onboarding of sponsored migrant workers and maintenance of immigration records as stipulated by Home Office
* Provide expert advice on employee relations, supporting managers in managing casework such as investigations, grievances and disciplinary procedures
* Assist with recruitment cycle in working closely with the recruitment manager and scheduling of interviews and liaison with external agencies where necessary
* Analyse relevant KPI information in a timely manner: occupancy levels, leavers data, exit interviews, attrition reports and RTW compliance.
* Provide employment reference requests, earnings letters and maintain log of all records in line with company policy
* Manage and enhance benefits offerings, ensuring they are competitive, inclusive and aligned with business & employee needs.
* Facilitate regular social calendar meetings, CSR activities, internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
What we are looking for
* Minimum two years experience in a similar role, preferably in a dynamic environment
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
* Exceptional communication and relationship building skills
* A proactive approach to problem solving and decision making
* Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to multitask and prioritise important projects
* Manage own workload to tight deadlines and the ability to operate well under pressure and within a high volume, target-driven environment
* A CIPD qualification (or working towards it) would be a plus
