We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a college in Aston, Birmingham. This role involves providing support to students with autism, ADHD, complex needs, and functional skills, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, particularly those with autism, and a strong commitment to fostering positive and accessible educational experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Teacher in implementing educational activities and lessons
- Support students with autism and special educational needs in their learning journey
- Provide care and supervision to children within the educational setting
- Communicate effectively with both students and colleagues to ensure a collaborative learning environment
- Help educate children by delivering tailored support in line with individual learning plans
What we are looking for:
- Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or special educational needs
- Ability to provide care and support to toddlers in an educational setting
- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students and colleagues
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Passion for educating and supporting children of all abilities
The role will start from November on a full time basis and will be an initial period of 16 weeks and then the suitable candidate will go permanent at the school.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is previous experience working in a primary school setting
