About the Team The North Older Peoples Team is a busy Adult Social Care Team supporting the older population of North Warwickshire and their carers. The Warwickshire County Council's Social Care and Support North Older People's Team provides a range of services aimed at supporting older adults in the northern part of Warwickshire. Their services include: Duty: They provide advice, information, and screen all contacts, arranging interim urgent care and support depending on needs. Assessment and Care Planning : They assess the needs of older adults to create personalised support plans. Reviews: They complete planned annual reviews and unplanned reviewed to ensure packages of care support older people's outcomes and provide quality support. Support for Carers : Offering resources and support for those who care for older adults. Safeguarding : Ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults, including self-neglect and hoarding. About the Role We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated person to lead the North Older Peoples Team, due to the current Service Managers successful years secondment to a senior role within the Council. This opportunity will be open to internal applicants as a secondment or external as a fixed term contract for 12 months from 1 st May 2025. The North Older People's Service Manager role at Warwickshire County Council involves overseeing the delivery of social care services for older adults in the northern region of Warwickshire. Key Requirements The key requirements for the North Older People's Service Manager role at Warwickshire County Council include: Experience in Social Care : Significant experience in adult social care, preferably with older adults. A minimum of 4 years in management. Qualifications: Registered Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, or Nurse. Enhanced DBS check. Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Budget Management : Experience in managing budgets and resources. Performance and Improvement: Achieve targets and drive continuous improvement. Statutory Compliance: Ensure knowledge and adherence to relevant legislation and professional standards. Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders, and part of a management team.
