We're looking for a passionate and proactive person who's excited about the prospect of owning and developing the Benefits, Recognition and Wellbeing approach at UW. As a business that truly puts people first, this role will have a big impact.
These are the core requirements we'd be looking for you to bring:
* Some relevant experience related to reward, recognition and/or employee benefits and a passion for developing further in this specialism.
* Ability to pick up new software and take ownership for keeping systems up to date.
* Strong organisation and project management skills with the ability to work across a number of competing priorities.
* Great relationship building skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a wide range of people in the business, and externally.
To be successful in this role you’ll:
* Be able to work collaboratively across the reward and people team but also cross functionally throughout the company.
* Communicate effectively and be able to present ideas and information in an easy to understand way, and be good at adapting your own working style.
* Be an excellent problem solver. You’ll be able to work with lots of ambiguity and often work independently to deliver tactical and strategic solutions.
* Can work autonomously, at pace.
* Creativity and a continuous improvement mindset - you'll always be interested in what we can do better, what our competitors are doing and how we can delight & engage our colleagues at UW.
We work together. Your team and the people you will work with…
You'll be joining the Reward & Recognition team, reporting to the Head of Reward & Recognition. This role will work with key stakeholders across Comms, Resource Planning, Employee Groups and the Leadership team.
You'll also work with 3rd party suppliers such as our benefits and platform providers.
We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.
It's an exciting time to join the team as you'll be instrumental in helping to implement 2 new platforms for the business within your first 6 months! Here's some of the key things you'll be doing in this role:
* Ensuring our wellbeing agenda is aligned to our culture, DNA and bringing wellbeing at UW to life. You’ll need to work with our key stakeholders in communications, resource planning, employee groups and our leaders to highlight the importance of wellbeing in the workplace.
* Acting as the first point of contact for all of our UW benefits including maintaining our benefits platform, responding to queries, supporting claims and being a key member of our renewal team each year.
* Owning our recognition platform and driving engagement of our employees and leaders where our successes are celebrated and recognised appropriately.
* Design, establish and maintain a reward and recognition employee calendar keeping all our events up to date, relevant and accessible.
* Support the Reward and Recognition team on key activities such as social events and other cyclical reward activity.
