Electrical Control Systems Assembler/Wireman - Up to $30/hr. - Great company with growth!

Location: Stafford, TX
Shift: M-F, days
Pay Range: $25-30/hr.
Principal Job Functions:
1. Assemble components per manufacturers' specifications.
2. Assist with all company Electrical/Mechanical needs.
3. Utilize basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Windows) to operate tagging machines and operating systems.
4. Cross-check electrical and mechanical components required for the build against the bill of materials.
5. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
6. Fabricate brackets, structures, bus work, etc. per instruction and/or prints.
7. Identify components and their intended function as it applies to equipment to be built.
8. Install power and ground leads and connect cables to equipment, such as motors.
9. Layout enclosures and sub-panels for assembly/cutouts based on information provided.
10. Mount components to equipment per prints with proper hardware specifications as required.
11. Organize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separation and aesthetic integrity.
12. Read and understand information from electro-mechanical prints.
13. Remove all temporary markings prior to assembly.
14. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
15. Troubleshoot basic equipment assembly wiring.
16. Understand various methods of connection and apply proper methods to the equipment you are building.
17. Wire equipment with proper voltage level, current level, and industry standard code per prints provided.
Key Skills and Competencies:
1. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WIRING ELECTRICAL CONTROL PANELS (Min 1 year).
2. Must be able to read a tape measure and perform required math.
3. Must be able to run control wires from point to point on each component.
4. Experience with AutoCAD.
5. SolidWorks experience is a plus.
6. Must be able to read and understand electrical schematics and engineering specifications.
7. Electrical control panel assembly and testing background.
8. Able to accurately layout, mount, wire, and troubleshoot industrial power and control components.
9. Be able to properly tag, terminate, and secure wires.
10. Able to operate power and hand tools required for drilling and cutting.
11. Must be responsible, self-motivated, and a team player.
12. Installing rigid conduit and instrument tubing is a plus.
13. General understanding of electricity/testing and the ability to recognize safe conditions.
14. Must be able to follow OSHA and workplace rules, which will be presented in English.
