We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant with emphasis on purchase ledger experience to join our friendly Head Office team in Hadleigh on a maternity cover basis.
Key Details
* Role Type: Temporary, Part-time (25-30 hours per week)
* Working Days: Monday to Friday, flexible start and finish times
* Location: Hadleigh, Essex
Main Responsibilities
Purchase Ledger:
* Process and check invoices using our automated system.
* Match invoices with purchase orders and seek necessary approvals.
* Post employee expenses and reconcile supplier statements.
* Handle supplier queries and assist in preparing weekly payment runs in GBP and foreign currency.
Other Ad-hoc Duties:
* Support the Management Accountant and Financial Controller with year-end audit preparations.
* Additional tasks as required within the Accounts department.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar Accounts role.
* Technical Skills: Familiarity with Accounts packages, strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Attention to Detail: Essential for accuracy in processing and reconciling data.
* Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines.
* Teamwork: A professional, confident personality with excellent communication skills.
