Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a nurturing and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism. This role involves assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and providing individualised support to students, ensuring that each child can thrive academically and socially.
Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing educational activities tailored to the needs of students.
Provide one-on-one support to children, particularly those requiring special education assistance.
Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and parents to enhance the learning experience.
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
Support children with daily tasks, including personal care for toddlers when necessary.
Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
Collaborate with other professionals to develop strategies for working with children on the autism spectrum.
Experience
Previous experience in an educational setting is highly desirable, particularly in special education or toddler care.
Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
A background in educating or supporting children with diverse needs will be advantageous.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
A genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to their development is crucial.
