Responsibilities
* Under the general supervision and direction of the Physician, Office Manager, or designee, and working collaboratively with patients and families, perform episodic illness visits and follow-up care visits, including preventative care, which may require laboratory testing, radiology testing, and/or immunizations.
* Formulate diagnoses based on clinical assessment and establish an appropriate and timely treatment plan.
* Select and order appropriate medications for treatment of medical conditions.
* Review diagnostic tests and procedures ordered, as they relate to follow-up care.
* Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other related software to update and access patient information as appropriate.
* Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Qualifications
* Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in a related field; graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program; certification from a national accrediting body; more than one year experience.
* Nurse Practitioner: Master's of Science Degree in Nursing; certification from a national accrediting body; current MA R.N. registration; Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate; current MA Nursing License or Physician Assistant License; more than one year experience.
