Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local government regulations.
2. Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing financial insights and recommendations.
3. Audit Preparation: Support the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
4. Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
5. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to provide financial guidance and support.
Requirements:
1. Qualifications: Must be a qualified finance professional (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA).
2. Experience: Proven experience in local government finance is essential.
