Our retail outlets provide much-needed income to the hospice. This is vital to be able to provide care to the people of North Derbyshire. The hospice has 15 retail shops, a furniture warehouse, a donation centre, two clearance shops, and two coffee shops! We also have two online eBay platforms, for clothes and general goods and an online furniture store. It’s a big operation!
We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Relief Shop Manager to join our team. You'll lead and be responsible for one of our retail shops in the absence of the shop manager ensuring that the teams provide a great customer experience. In addition, you will also support the retail operations team as and when required. Your role is key in helping us achieve our fundraising goals, so we can continue to provide the care our patients deserve.
The main responsibilities include:
* Provide management cover for vacancies, planned and unplanned absence of the shop manager or additional support within any of the Ashgate Hospice shops or retail locations, as required.
* Support Area Retail Operations.
* Action daily floor walks/handovers from the shop/location manager to ensure high standards are achieved and maintained in their absence.
About you:
* You will be an integral member of the retail team, supporting retail teams in the absence of the shop manager in numerous locations.

* Leadership experience.
* Good organisation skills.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
* Good organisation and management skills.
