Commercial Revenue Finance Business Partner

The Finance Business Partner role in Consumer is a high-profile position that requires working with, influencing, and challenging senior collaborators.
The scope of this role will provide the opportunity to work on projects across the mobile, fixed & converged division & will require the need to be flexible to prioritise needs of the business.
This person will need to work collaboratively with teams across the company to deliver business plans, financial targets and successful customer propositions.
They will provide financial management and leadership, offering insight for decision making and driving business success through analysing performance and seeing opportunities for improvement.
The initial assignment of this role will be managing the end-to-end P&L for Pay as you go (PAYG) worth upwards of £150m. The person in this role will become the go-to finance person on the migration of PAYG to the new 360 billing platform, supporting commercial, operational and technical colleagues understand the consequences of decisions.
Key responsibilities & accountabilities
* Advising on investment options to drive optimal commercial outcomes
* Own the forecasting process, agreeing this with business owners and feeding into FP&A.
* Understand and report on month-end results, sharing with the Commercial Finance Hod/FD and business owners up to Director and EC level.
* Attend and support Monthly/Quarterly Business Review meetings (internal and with external partners).
* Understand channel profitability to advise on maximum return.
* Identify tactical and strategic opportunities and threats, and clearly articulate options to maximise opportunities and mitigate risks.
* Lead the enhancement of all internal finance processes
* Responsible for SOX controls and collaborate with team members to ensure accurate partner payments each month.
* Opportunity to work on other projects within the Consumer Team (across Mobile, Fixed & Converged), to support the overall delivery of the Consumer P&L.

The must haves
In order to be considered, you must have the following experience:
* Qualified Accountant.
* Ability to quickly build strong working relationships in and outside of Finance
* Experience of influencing and driving the decision-making process.
* Highly Analytical: Strong modelling skills supported by strong commercial analysis to pro-actively draw out business themes, challenge assumptions, understand core problems and bring clarity to complex issues.
* Excellent communication: Ability to articulate complex and detailed information in a simple form to both financial and non-financial teams around the business across all levels.
* Leadership: Ability to engage and lead with senior professionals cross-directorate to achieve optimal commercial outcomes quickly and effectively.
