About Us:
We are a small team based in a welcoming and relaxed office in the village of Brockenhurst in the New Forest. Our expertise and joint passion for animals, plants and the environment contribute towards the success of the charity, which is dedicated to the rehabilitation and protection of orangutans, as well as the conservation of their rainforest home. We work closely with the world renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Borneo, where we employ an additional 12 members of staff.
Collaborating with government agencies, local communities and conservation organisations in Borneo, our efforts encompass the rescue and rehabilitation of orangutans affected by habitat loss, poaching and the illegal pet trade. Additionally, we focus on protecting and restoring orangutan habitats, raising awareness about the threats orangutans face through educational initiatives, and advocating their protection on a local, national and international level.
