Job overview
We are seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Play therapist to join our CAMHS under 14's team in Norfolk and Waveney. We have a full time vacancy in our Central team, based at Mary Chapman House, Norwich.
We are looking for someone with experience of delivering Play Therapy to children and young people, as well as a broader comprehensive range of skills and knowledge to deliver the additional clinical aspects of the role. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and enjoy being part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will be required to provide specialist evidenced based assessment and therapeutic intervention to children and young people with mental health difficulties. We are currently working to implement newly aligned treatment pathways and have identified a gap in our play therapy provision.
You will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines; your role will be integral to the multi-disciplinary team. You will at times offer advice and consultation on young people's psychological care to colleagues and other agencies.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Work as a high level clinician providing Specialist Play Psychotherapy assessments and treatment to young people with a range of psychological and emotional disorders.
Provide expertise in all aspects of Play Psychotherapy to clients, carers and significant others.
Contribute to the provision of the Psychological Therapy Services within NSFT.
Work as part of the multidisciplinary team, carrying a caseload of clients for treatment and providing case load management.
Participate in core CAMHS tasks including duty, case discussion and liaising with multidisciplinary teams.
Receive regular clinical supervision, caseload management and line management supervision in line with the Trust Policies and be responsible for management of own caseload and ensuring high standards of care are maintained in line with Trust policies and professional codes of practice.
Supervise and consult with other mental health professionals and be involved in the development of Psychological Therapy provision within the locality as appropriate.
Accountable for accurate mental health clustering of all patients in caseload on admission, discharge and at review meetings.
Ensure all mental health clustering information is passed onto other Trust teams or services on transfer of patients.
Responsible for maintaining the accuracy and quality of mental health clustering activity within the team.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Masters level/professional Play Therapy qualification
* Registration with a professional body as a Play Therapist
Experience
* Evidence of providing all aspects of Play Psychotherapy to clients, carers and significant others.
* Service development training and ability to deliver other therapeutic approaches e.g. DBT, EMDR, IPT.
Skills
* Able to demonstrate a flexible enabling approach to service delivery.
Knowledge
* Advanced knowledge of a range of Play Psychotherapy evidence based interventions used in the effective intervention in mental health problems.
* Awareness of other therapeutic approaches and their application.
Other
* Able to travel independently.
