Group/Division
SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.
Job Description
This role represents an excellent opportunity for an Engineer who is looking to build experience in a fast-growing, award-winning, global semiconductor company.

The product is involved in the processing of silicon wafers at the beginning of the semiconductor manufacturing process. You'll help us transition from the R&D phase of this project - acting as part of the team responsible for moving advanced equipment into manufacturing. The team delivers manufacturing solutions to our cross-functional teams and suppliers by developing procedures, processes, and documentation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Running multiple projects working with all stakeholders across our Operations and Engineering Teams to support design activities through manufacturing process development and specification
* Reviewing and amending drawings, assembly instructions and BOM structures as well as reviewing and approving Engineering Change Orders
* Creating and maintaining 2D drawings with Auto-CAD Electrical in conjunction with Enovia
* Continuous SOP improvement and Checklist introduction for Top 5 Customer system assembly and test
* Help to introduces a more robust process of to track serialisation of critical components
* Generate customer presentations that describe the testing criteria and results obtained when component change is unavoidable. Log this detail on KLA and Customer SharePoint sites
* In house- system Assembly and Test - CE! audit champion
* Pre-shipment and on-site post installation CE! audit champion

* Is either Degree qualified in an Engineering subject area or has an HND/HNC with proven experience
* Ideally, is familiar with 3D CAD Solid Edge/ SolidWorks
* Ideally, has an understanding IPC/WHMA-A-620 for wiring and harness assemblies and IPC A-610H for electrical assembly
