1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant (Secondary) Location: Tameside Contract Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only) Start Date: Immediate Pay: £89 – £95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications) A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Tameside is seeking a compassionate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 8 student with autism spectrum condition (ASC) and sensory processing difficulties. This is a vital role in ensuring the student has the support they need to engage in lessons, build social skills, and thrive within the school community. You will work directly with the student throughout the day, providing tailored support in all areas of their school life, including academic learning, social interactions, and emotional regulation. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to adapt the curriculum and ensure the student’s educational needs are met. Additionally, you’ll be part of the school’s wider SEND team, contributing to a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students.
