About The Role
As a Chef de Partie, you will assist the Sous Chef & Head Chef in delivering the Butlins food propositions. Responsible for a specified section of the kitchen, you will ensure the safe preparation, cooking, and presentation of the dishes, following set recipe specifications and brand standards.
Overseeing and managing small teams of commis chefs, you will ensure the delivery of the food proposition in accordance with food safety policy. You will be enrolled in our award-winning Butlins Chef Academy to enhance your skills in a fun and educational environment, helping you progress to more senior levels.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Deputising in the absence of the Sous Chef.
2. Managing and overseeing daily operations in your section, ensuring efficiency and compliance with food safety policies.
3. Maintaining a clean and organised workstation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
4. Leading, training, and mentoring Commis Chefs with guidance and support as needed.
5. Preparing and cooking dishes following pre-approved recipe specifications.
6. Completing relevant daily food diaries related to the role.
7. Controlling budget margins with the support of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
About You

We seek candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic, high-spirited, and fun-loving, understanding their role and the value they can add to the guest experience by unleashing the potential of the team. You should have passed your Level 3 Food Safety qualification and be confident in leading a team to continually deliver high standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
As with any chef role at this level, you will also be responsible for managing margins, controlling costs, and adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Typical working hours: working five days over seven, covering 40 hours per week and are part of a bonus scheme.
