Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Frozen Shellfish Sales Executive to drive sales growth, develop new business opportunities, and strengthen relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the seafood industry, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in B2B sales, particularly in frozen shellfish. Specific experience with warm water and cold water prawns required, selling into food services and the retail market.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development: Identify and secure new buyers for frozen shellfish in domestic and international markets.
2. Client Management: Maintain strong relationships with current customers, ensuring repeat business and long-term partnerships.
3. Market Research: Analyse industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities to develop strategic sales plans.
4. Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules with clients and suppliers.
5. Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and quality control teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
6. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all sales comply with export-import regulations, sustainability standards, and food safety certifications.
7. Sales Reporting: Track performance, generate sales reports, and provide insights to improve business operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
1. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in seafood sales, preferably in frozen shellfish.
2. Strong B2B sales and negotiation skills within the import/export industry.
3. Deep knowledge of international seafood markets, logistics, and trade regulations.
4. Existing network of seafood buyers, wholesalers, or distributors is a plus.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.
7. Willingness to travel for business development.
